You can change the stroke attributes of the Pen, Pencil, and Brush tools so that the next object that you draw will have the new stroke attributes.
The current stroke color appears in the stroke color well in the Toolbox. Use the Toolbox to change a drawing tool's stroke.
The paint brush indicates the stroke color well in the Toolbox.
You can also change the stroke color for a drawing tool in the Stroke panel. You can choose from a variety of brush tips and tip sizes. Further, you can change the stroke characteristics of an object after you draw it. For more information, see Editing strokes.
To change the stroke color of the drawing tools:
| 1 | From the stroke color well in the Toolbox, click the down arrow next to the color well to open the color well pop-up menu. |
| 2 | Choose a color for the stroke from the set of swatches. |
| 3 | Choose a drawing tool. |
| 4 | Hold down the mouse button and drag to draw the object. |
